Valle del Este is situated near the typically Spanish town of Vera, about 5 to 10 minutes rural drive inland from the extensive beaches of Mojacar. This part of Spain is one of driest and sunniest with over 300 sunny days a year and is often used as a film set - there is a cowboy town attraction called mini Hollywood a short drive away.

There are miles of clean beaches, some barely used at all. All the usual water sport activities can be found on Mojacar and Vera playas, along with bars, restaurants and plenty of shops.

Mojacar village is picturesque with it's maze of tiny cobbled streets and white sugar cube moorish style houses. Nearby is the fishing village and port of Garrucha with it's fish restaurants along the promenade. The area is well served by motorways making the airport runs very easy and allowing access to national parks, on the coast and in the mountains, as well as Granada a couple of hours away

The course is a truly stunning course built in a desert style with palm trees and many water hazards. It is one of only two desert courses in Europe, the second Desert Springs is just 20 minutes away.

The Valle del Este 18-hole golf course has been carefully designed to combine holes that represent a real challenge to the player, with other less strenuous holes - The golf course has been designed by José Canales, paying careful attention to every detail and integrating the course into the surrounding landscape by making use of indigenous vegetation - The course design and setting make it quite spectacular. The tees are particularly noteworthy, positioned on small raised platforms surrounded by volcanic rock, as well as the wide, generous fairways
